Please welcome Sidrah Riaz in her new role as Director Statistics. She will be responsible for making sure scorecards are filled correctly by the umpires. All teams are required to register their players in time according to the By-laws. After the game if the scoreboard is incomplete or not correct then please contact the umpire for the game. Umpires in turn are requested to contact Sidrah in case any of the names are missing in the master database or any correction once their rights to edit the scoreboard has expired.
She is currently studying Graphic Designing at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She says "During my off time I visited several PCL matches around this area and I find that very interesting and professional. Going forward I want to explore my favorite sport Cricket with a very competitve and well organized Philadelphia Cricket League".
She is very passionate about cricket and a great addition to our team said PCL president Shuja Khan. The league is looking forward for her contribution towards cricket. |

| Games rescheduled to May 1st weekend 04/19/2010 09:44 pm Due to sudden loss of Stumperz new field and Woodmore field of Mobil and unclear status of Liberty Cricket Club, the games have been moved from the coming weekend. PCL 2010 will now start from May 1st weekend.

| Greg Kannerstein of Haverford 04/06/2010 07:14 pm 
Greg Kannerstein who was a student, teacher, dean, coach and administrator of Haverford college for over four decades, passed away in Dec 2009. Greg was a great supporter for the growth of cricket in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Greg's contribution towards cricket will be missed by Haverford and the local cricket community.
PCL would like to honor the memory of Greg Kannerstein by devoting a special Trophy of sportsman of the year 2010 award. This award will be presented at this years PCL’s annual prize distribution.
Kamran Khan of Haverford Cricket Club (PCL 2009 Champion) who was directly associated with him really misses and admires his contribution. PCL President Shuja Khan also acknowledge's Greg. The President and Board Member Kamran Khan are honored to dedicate this award in Greg's name.

| User ID and Passwords 04/01/2010 10:55 am Teams are requested to make sure that there primary and umpire user id are working. If there are any issues please contact the league by April 15th.

| Final Reminder 03/24/2010 10:55 pm Teams are reminded to make sure the last installment balance must be received by March31st, otherwise late fine will be assessed. PCL extended the dues date by two months and for convinience broke it into three installments. However, administratively this became too cumbersome to handle, no further extension will be given for the games to begin on time. |

| PCL POWER PLAY RULES & REGULATIONS 03/21/2010 10:23 pm By-law 12.18 defines the PCL Power Play rules and regulations. All current umpires must make themselves familiar with the rule. Those who will be taking the test on March 27th there will be 4 to 8 questions related to Power Play as well. It is very important all umpires, team captains, team contacts and all players throughly read and understand this rule. |

| Umpiring Test 03/15/2010 10:32 pm PCL will be holding the annual Umpiring Certification test on March 27th at Wilmington, DE. All the new clubs joining are required to send at-least 5 individuals to take the test. It is requested that all the clubs from last year expand the umpiring base. Test starts at 10:00am and last an average of 1 to 1 and half hour. All clubs should make sure that the minimum threshold of 5 certified umpires is met. Please see By-Law 16.14. The exam will be containing multiple choice questions based on league by-laws and general cricket rules. It is a comprehensive and challenging test, so come well prepared.
Clubs must notify umpiring director Bayazid Siddiqui either through phone or email by March 23rd for the count of individuals who will be taking the test so exact count of test paper can be printed.
By-law concerning office hours for phone calls and power play will be updated shortly. Keep on checking the by-laws section.

| Get Ready.... 03/05/2010 10:17 am Teams are reminded to make sure that the last installment must be received by March31st. If the team needs carbon copy scorebook for the season then please make sure to add $25 along with the installment. The season will begin on the last weekend of April. Make sure to play competitive friendly games as well to compete in a more competitive PCL this year.

| High scoring Power-play 02/03/2010 09:49 am PCL is excited to introduce powerplay in the coming season. It is time to gear up for even more high scoring games in the coming 40 over games. Details to come up shortly in the by-laws section. Keep on checking the website.

| Welcome to 2010 01/11/2010 05:06 pm PCL welcomes all the teams for the 2010 season. Considering the current economic situation PCL has decided to break down its annual fee in three installments to give teams ample time to collect dues from their players. Here are the dues for this season (same as last year):
- Balls fee due by Feb 11th - 18 Balls ($216).
- Insurance fee by Feb 28th - $150.
- Membership fee by Mar 31st- $250.
- Total - $616
Teams not sending the balls fee by Feb 11th are not guaranteed a spot in this season, this fee is non-refundable as balls will be ordered accordingly. All dates are final. In addition, PCL would like to receive nominations for two additional positions in the Executive Committee;

- Director Statistics Reconciliation
The deadline for sending nominations is Jan 31st. Please send your brief cricketing profile in word/pdf format.
Lastly, PCL would like to welcome two new teams for 2010. PCL may have two divisions depending on the number of teams participating this season.
